Many commercial vehicle truck and trailer parts and service companies can trace their origins back to humble beginnings. Blaine Brothers can trace its start back to a single truck! It was 1979 when the original ‘Blaine Brothers’ — Fred and Rick Dally — started providing on-site repair service out of the bed of an old 1969 Ford pickup. It was the entrepreneurial duo’s idea that the Twin Cities area needed a mobile service business which understood that good reliable service had a positive impact on customer satisfaction.
With their service shop on wheels the duo quickly earned a solid reputation for reliability and soon added a building to support a burgeoning customer base and its service needs. The brick and mortar facility only further strengthened the brother’s business capabilities, and customer satisfaction rates.
Blaine Brothers, Inc., continues to be a family run business four decades later and is now made up of four separate business entities with nine locations across two states. It employs more than 300 people and offers nearly every product and service required in the commercial trucking industry. From Capacity yard trucks, towing, hydraulics, parts, service, and multiple trailer lines the companies continue to grow. The companies seek good people who fit our strong family values and business model of problem solving and quality service.
Blaine Brothers has three facilities in Minneapolis, Scanlon and Clearwater, MN. Together the facilities offer a complete offering of medium and heavy-duty truck and trailer parts, as well as in-shop, mobile, and on-site service, customized fleet maintenance, a 24/7 towing and recovery, and a sales and rental division for Capacity yard trucks.
“We are always talking about different opportunities and things we can do,” Dean Dally, CEO says. In late 2013 Blaine Brothers purchased TRUCKALINE, specializing in full-service frame, suspension and alignment service for medium and heavy-duty equipment. A short time later they also purchased Hydraulic Specialty — a distributor and service provider of hydraulic components and repair in Fridley, MN. Blaine Brothers fourth business, North American Trailer, recently moved into a new state-of-the-industry facility in Inver Grove Heights, MN. North American also has locations in Scanlon, MN, and Stanley, N.D. Each of these locations offer the same great services as Blaine Brothers with the addition of tank trailer repair, and new and used trailer sales. “Blaine Brothers biggest asset isn’t what the company can do, it’s the people who do it,” Dally says. Blaine Brothers staff is engaged and invested in both the success of their employer and their customers and it is that commitment that has allowed the company to evolve from a one-truck operation into the multifaceted service provider it is today!
