Friday practice went good! Leland felt out the Utv on the track and the Utv handled the track good for being on bark river for the first time.
Friday qualifying Leland had a good lap going but unfortunately, someone rolled over then he got back going again and he got all bunched up and Leland missed a couple of his marks on the track and it cost him big with 3 other guys, and his side door to door. Leland qualified 21st out of 25.
Saturday’s race day was an absolute mud fest, it rained Friday night and all day Saturday into early Sunday morning. Leland didn’t think he was going to race Saturday but he did he started 21st. His helmet blower kept shutting off and his glasses kept fogging up and a one groove muddy race track passed some slower drivers but managed to hold himself together and finish 14th!
Sunday’s race day, Leland started 20th due to Saturdays lap times. The track was prime, he was feeling good and it was a wild race with some hard fought battles in the passing game but he finally got the monkey off his back at bark river and went from 20th to 11th definitely being more aggressive. Driving harder helped out a lot and Leland was making progress with the new Pro Turbo CanAm. Leland takes on Crandon Off-Road next for the last champ off-road points race of the year and the Sunday World Championship Red Bull cup day! With an estimated 30 plus Pro Turbos, Leland will have to be on his game all weekend for a top 25 Qualifying spot with the best Pro SXS drivers in the country!
