THREE PODIUMS IN VALCOURT!!

Duluth, MN (February 14th, 2024) For the first time in Amsoil Championship Snocross history the U.S national tour headed North to the famed Grand Prix Ski-Doo de Valcourt (GPSV) circuit in Quebec Canada for the largest winter motorsports event in the world. Unique to this race, only the Pro classes from the tour participated in the event and raced in conjunction with GPSV classes and ice oval races making for a fun, action-packed weekend from sunup to sundown. Both Judnick riders enjoyed the rough and tough track the Grand Prix had to offer and despite it being their first appearance at Valcourt, they put in solid, standout performances.

Saturday | Round 6

Judnick’s dynamic duo set the tone early by putting down fast times during qualifying, earning them first and second start picks for Round 1. When the first green light of the weekend went off, it was again Harr and Kamm side by side off the start tied for first. Kamm was able to get the upper hand early on and settle into an early race lead before he and Harr played cat and mouse back and forth. Around halfway through the race, Harr kicked things into another gear and made the pass on his teammate for the lead. With a minute to go, Kamm had another battle on his hands and despite putting up a strong fight, another rider got by resulting in a third-place finish for the #53.

Harr backed his previous round’s effort with another fantastic jump off the start line, rocketing into first place. Despite being challenged for the lead early on, Harr held off the hard charging field and when everything was all said and done was able to put a six second lead over the competition. Kamm started Round 2 in the top five and ping ponged back and forth around there until ultimately ending in the fifth-place position.

In the last and final round, Harr started second and Kamm in seventh. Although Harr was able to catch the leader on multiple occasions, the opportunity to pass was not there and he did not force the issue as the position was not necessary to claim the nights overall win. Kamm slowly reeled in contenders and passed his way into his final position of third. Harr’s 1-1-2 efforts locked in first overall and Kamm’s 3-5-3 efforts scored him a third place overall on Saturday night.

Sunday | Round 7

For the first time in a long time, the Judnick Motorsports team entered competition with the red number plates on the #31 sled, signifying the points lead. Harr’s previous night’s overall win sprung him to first in points over the injured Elias Ishoel.

Round 1 started with Kamm being shuffled back to eighth off the start and Harr being able to take advantage of an inside line to come off the start in second. After back and forth battles for both riders, off track excursions and more, they would end up finishing in their respective starting positions.

On a mission in Round 2, Harr jumped out to a top three start while Kamm hoovered outside of the top five. Harr was tasked with playing offense and defense all in one- having to protect but also be aggressive and race forward as he was under fire while also chasing the race leader. With two minutes remaining, Harr found an advantageous line in the whoops and took over the lead with teammate Kamm finishing in eighth.

An unfortunate jump off the line in Round 3 would force Harr to go to the back of the pack and fight his way through the field from there, which he did just that. A true grit ride from the Swede as he went from thirteenth all the way to fourth in a matter of eight minutes. This radiant effort secured a second place overall for him and the team. After a less than ideal start, Kamm was left to battle the mid pack chaos where he’d pocket a sixth-place finish, putting him seventh overall for the night.

The team is already hunkered down in New York working on sleds and gearing up for this weekend’s battle in Salamanca New York for Rounds 8 and 9.
